Abstract
The article offers the recommendations for teaching sambo techniques among the left-handed sambo wrestlers for more successful performance at competitions against the right-handed sambo wrestlers. Standard training methods are best suited for training the right-handed athletes versus the right-handed athletes. In sambo, the overwhelming majority of athletes (about 90%) are right-handed, and many coaches do not pay due attention to left-handed sambo wrestlers, while left-handers are extremely effective in fighting right-handers, since right-handed athletes are unusual to fight against left-handers. Since athletes have different fighting stances, the training methodology and techniques will not be the same as in training according to the standard method. This study presents a list of techniques and guidelines that can improve the results of left-handed sambo wrestlers in fights with right-handers.
