The aim of the study was to develop and substantiate the methodology for the formation of correct posture of the 11-12 year old students by means of physical culture. 67 schoolchildren of grades 5-6 were examined. In the course of the research, in accordance with the tasks, the ascertaining (natural) and comparative (main) pedagogical experiments were applied. Experimental research was carried out in a secondary school. Anthropometric studies were carried out according to generally accepted methods. Pedagogical testing included an assessment of the functional state of the abdominal muscles, lifting the torso from a supine position in 30 seconds, and static strength endurance of the back muscles. The health of schoolchildren was assessed by analyzing the medical records of students, with the help of a health worker. It was found that exercise therapy and massage help restore the normal range of motion in the upper limbs; massage helps relieve pain in tense areas. Massage in combination with exercise therapy contributes to the formation of correct posture, strengthening of the muscles of the trunk, and the development of a muscle corset. With the correct use of massage techniques in combination with a properly selected set of exercise therapy exercises, a number of diseases of the musculoskeletal system have a positive trend. Practical recommendations have been developed for the use of strength exercises for the prevention and correction of disorders in the condition of the musculoskeletal system. It is recommended, for a more pronounced health-improving effect, to perform strength exercises for the main muscle groups, using static and dynamic modes of exercise.
