Abstract
The purpose of the study is to analyze the current approaches to coordination training in football (to identify problematic aspects). The article presents an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey of coaches on the importance and methods of implementing coordination training in football. The study made it possible to identify problematic aspects of organizing and implementing coordination training when working with young football players: low level of awareness among coaches about the specificity of the formation and development of different types of coordination abilities; insufficient amount of time for the implementation of the coordination training of football players in the structure of the training process; lack of scientific and methodological information and technologies for the implementation of coordination training of football players, including those aimed at reducing the severity of motor asymmetry; insufficiently wide "arsenal" of means and approaches to the assessment and development of different types of coordination abilities among coaches.
Keywords: football, coordination skills, football coaches, coordination training.
