Abstract
This work is devoted to identifying the educational and upbringing potential of the socio-cultural environment of cadet institutions as a means of developing the moral and volitional qualities of students. Based on a review of theoretical sources, it was revealed that the socio-cultural environment is a space into which a student transitions from one state to another, as close as possible to the given model of a modern competent specialist. In the process of modeling the sociocultural environment aimed at developing the moral and volitional qualities of cadets, one should take into account the purpose of the environment, the characteristics of the subjects of training, the content of the educational process, as well as the means of teaching.
