Modern dissertation research in psychological sciences in the sphere of physical culture and sport

The article presents the results of the analysis of the topic and trends in physical culture and sports in 2016–2020. The results of a quantitative analysis of dissertations in psychology in 2016–2020 in various scientific specialties are presented, the topic and focus of scientific research in accordance with its object are analyzed. An increase in dissertations on various aspects of training athletes in comparison with dissertations on the problems of mass physical culture, as well as a large contribution of dissertations on educational psychology to the structure of dissertations on the psychology of physical culture and sports, was revealed. The results of the analysis of modern trends in scientific research on the psychology of physical culture and sports allow us to assess the current state of psychological support of physical culture and sports and to determine the topical directions for further development of scientific research in the sports industry.
