Abstract
The work touches upon the problem of physical self-improvement of cadets of higher educational institutions of the Russian Guard in the process of forming skills of methods of counteracting offenders by means of single combats. The use of training complexes is proposed when organizing training sessions in combat techniques to increase the effectiveness of hand-to-hand combat. The quantitative indicators of the functional state and physical qualities are presented.
