In this article, the authors consider the peculiarities of the development of power abilities of females in the conditions of the university, taking into account the modern tendencies of strengthening the role of power exercises in the physical education of female students in the context of alternative ways of providing the pedagogical process with technologies that ensure a high level of general physical fitness. Lack of motivation for strength training, lack of demand for the development of muscles of the arms and shoulder girdle leads to the fact that the coordination of processes of neuromuscular coordination is not ensured; volitional efforts; muscle mass. A “school of movements” is needed, where the main regulator is the conditions for the manifestation of force in various movements, at different modes and levels. Purpose: to assess the effectiveness of the use of physical exercises of speed-strength orientation by girls (17–20 years old) in conditions of physical culture and sports activity. To assess the results of the experiment for both groups (control - the CG and experimental - the EG), studies were carried out, taking into account anthropological indicators. A low level of physical fitness was noted in girls with asthenic physique (AST) and, especially, in the digestive physique (DST).
