Abstract
The article deals with the problem associated with the deterioration of physical fitness indicators of the 1-3 years students of higher educational institutions. Objective of the research: obtaining quantitative indicators of assessing the physical condition of the students through pedagogical observation of the group of students for three years. Pedagogical research consisted of several stages. At the first stage, the physical qualities of students were assessed at the beginning of the academic year. The second stage included systematic work to improve the physical qualities of students. At the third stage, students took control standards. In the course of the study, indicators of passing control standards were obtained, which made it possible to analyze the dynamics of physical development. The results of the study showed that upon admission to the university, students did not differ much from each other in terms of the level of physical qualities, and by the end of the course in physical training, the number of significantly different indicators increased.
