Abstract
The system of testing the physical fitness of police officers in Russia and in some English-speaking countries largely agree with their "basic and situational" approaches in the study of functional and professionally applied physical fitness. The "basic" approach is associated with the most common correlates of physical fitness (push – UPS, cross-country, swimming, etc.), while the "situational" approach models various aspects of employee actions in the service environment. From the pedagogical point of view, the level of professional readiness of the police officer will directly depend on the effectiveness of using "situational tasks" in the educational process. Within the framework of this concept, the list of test procedures will reveal the correlation between speed-strength and coordination qualities and personal qualities responsible for the professional and psychological readiness of employees.
Keywords: police officer, motor readiness, function testing.
