Application of sports techniques in teaching to firepower training for police officers

Abstract
Now, fire training of police officers is based on the regulatory legal acts that strictly establish the requirements for shooting exercises used in the training of police officers. These exercises do not allow realizing a practical orientation in the course of classes. The article discusses the features of the use of training methods for shooters-athletes of the Federation of Practical Shooting of Russia in the educational process for the police officers. These techniques make it possible to effectively train police officers to act in situations with a constantly changing tactical situation, as well as reduce the factors that negatively affect this training. The methods of training of the shooters-athletes of the "Federation of Practical Shooting of Russia" were used to conduct trainings with police officers, members of national teams in sports shooting from combat hand-held small arms. During the application of these techniques, the students showed a high level of weapon proficiency, and also successfully used weapons under conditions of increased psychological stress. The methods of training of the shooters-athletes of the Federation of Practical Shooting of Russia, have shown high efficiency in the educational process of police officers and ensured a high level of training of personnel to perform service tasks related to the use of weapons.
