Abstract
Currently in Russia, there is a significant increase in the number of snowboarders at sports schools and commercial ski clubs. There is no doubt that snowboarding can be considered as one of the modern and effective means of physical education of the younger generation, but to date, this area is not sufficiently developed. The main reason for this situation is the low competence in teaching snowboarding among the graduates of physical education and sports universities. This article presents the structure and content of the "Snowboarding with methods of teaching" course and develops the methodological part of the model program and practical recommendations for organizing and conducting snowboarding classes for students of physical education departments.
Keyword: snowboarding, student education, academic discipline, physical culture, sports.
