Abstract
The unsatisfactory state of physical fitness and health of the younger generation dictates the need to search for the new forms of improving physical education at school. One of the criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the physical education process is the assessment of physical fitness. The article presents a technology for assessing the level of physical fitness of schoolchildren based on regional standards, taking into account the characteristics of children living in the territory of the Republic of Kalmykia. The proposed model of technology for assessing the physical fitness of students in the age range from 7 to 17 years is developed on the basis of "Regional standards of physical development and physical fitness of schoolchildren of the Republic of Kalmykia". The use of experimental technology has significantly improved the level of physical fitness of 11-year-old boys. The proposed technology provides objectivity, accessibility, and a comprehensive assessment of students motor fitness, making it possible to make school diagnostics more informative for monitoring and necessary correction of the motor mode and dosage of the load in the physical education lesson for certain specific indicators.
Keywords: technology, assessment, level of physical fitness, students, regional standards, Republic of Kalmykia.
