Abstract
This article discusses the problems of development of psychological cognitive processes of children during schooling. It describes the characteristics of cognitive processes, identifies the features of the development of cognitive processes among the school-age children. The author has studied and demonstrated effective ways of conducting the games and exercises that ensure the development of cognitive activity of schoolchildren. If the cognitive processes of schoolchildren are developed in time with the help of extracurricular psychological activities and play-based learning activities, then attention, memory, thinking, speech perception, imagination will improve.
