Abstract
The aim of this study is the improvement of the forms and methods of assessing the general physical fitness within the current certification in the disciplines "Professionally-applied physical training" and "Service and applied physical training" for cadets and listeners of educational institutions of the MIA of Russia. In this article, the authors present options for assessing the overall physical fitness of cadets and students of educational organizations of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia. As part of the current certification of cadets and students of educational organizations, in order to control overall physical fitness, it is advisable to use the point-based assessment system with the progressive scale. As part of the control of the general physical fitness, the assessment system should be applied by using the basic and additional control standards. The authors found that the effectiveness of the possession of combat techniques of wrestling is influenced by such professionally significant physical qualities as speed and agility, power abilities. It should be noted that different professionally important physical qualities have a predominant influence on the assessment of the effectiveness of the use of combat techniques in male and female cadets.
