Development of information competence of university physical education teacher in the context of digital transformation of education

Abstract
One of the most important problems of modern education in the Russian Federation is to increase the importance of self-learning with the help of digital technologies by reducing the role of the teacher in the educational process. In this regard, in the Russian educational space, the problem of determining and realizing the importance of developing the information competence of a teacher has become relevant. The purpose of the study was to provide the theoretical justification and test the author's approach to solving the problem of developing the information competence of a University physical education teacher. The aim of the study was to develop and experimentally test the methodology for developing the information competence of a University physical education teacher. The following methods were used in the experimental work: the pedagogical observation, interviewing teachers and students, psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, pedagogical planning, etc. The developed methodology for developing the information competence of a physical culture teacher at a higher education institution can be recommended for implementation in activities aimed at improving the information literacy of teachers of physical culture departments of higher education institutions.
