Abstract
One of the most important tasks of education is to preserve the health of students. Therefore, our task, along with solving pedagogical problems, is to compare the teaching load with the individual characteristics of students in order to preserve their health. Physical culture is one of the components of a person's general culture, which largely determines his attitude to learning, behavior in everyday life, in communication.
Competencies in the field of physical culture are knowledge, skills, life experience. Therefore, we must pass all this on to our students. This applies not only to their physical abilities, but also to their ability to lead a healthy lifestyle, organize their leisure time, etc. Thus, the relevance of this work is the formation of the basic competencies necessary in life and work, so that future professional workers develop such personality traits to ensure full-fledged social and professional activity. The aim of the study was the formation of key competencies of students of a special medical group (SMG) in physical culture and sports classes.
Keyword: higher education, competence in education, physical education, special medical group.
