Development of cadets’ psychological stability of the academy of Federal Penal Service of Russia

Abstract
Introduction. Cadet’s adaptation to the conditions of the military university is a complex phenomenon, including adaptation to the educational activities, adaptation to the official activities, adaptation to the living conditions. Moreover, the students experience a noticeable influence of stress in the process of intellectual tests provided for by the educational process (exam, testing, competitive selection, public presentation of work, etc.), which poses a threat to their psychological health, contributes to the demotivation of teaching, reduces the level of self-realization and academic performance in educational activities. The purpose of the study is to study the cadets’ psychological stability of the Academy of the Federal Penal Service of Russia. The methodology and organization of the study: the research of 80 of the Academy of the Federal Penal Service of Russia was carried out in 2 steps, questioning and also a complex of psychodiagnostic techniques were used (a scale of reactive and personal uneasiness of Ch.D. Spielberg, Yu.L. Khanin, methods for determining resistance to stress and social adaptation (T. Holmes, R. Rage), RSM-25 stress scale). Research results and discussion: the experimental study of the formation of the psychological stability of cadets in the educational process was carried out. Conclusions. The creation of certain psychological and pedagogical conditions in the educational process maintains the psychological health of cadets.
