Abstract
The current stage of development of higher education imposes new requirements on the level of preparedness of graduates. The goal of improving the quality of education is to focus on a well-rounded professional. In this regard, physical culture allows you to quickly act in the changing conditions of a dynamic society. The aim of the study is to assess the impact of physical education on the indicators of educational activity, physical fitness and health of students in higher education institutions. Students of the Belgorod state national research University and the Belgorod law Institute of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia named after I. D. Putilin took part in the study. To assess the effectiveness of the analysis of the level of physical fitness of students. The level of somatic health is determined. We analyze academic performance during the semester and the number of missed classes due to illness. As a result of comparative analysis, the effectiveness of regular systematic physical education classes up to the end of training at a higher educational institution is proved.
