Ksenia Dmitrievna Kildisheva, the police major, senior inspector of the citizenship department of the Migration Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, adjunct, Saint-Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation; Vasily Nikolayevich Mikhalev, the colonel of Internal Service, the senior lecturer, Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Ryazan

Traditionally, for decades, there has been such a situation that pedagogy is more concerned with the prevention and education of children at risk. At the same time, police officers correct and level the behavior of adolescents and young people who have committed unlawful acts, registered in this regard with the juvenile affairs inspectorate. This logically follows from the priority of the punitive and corrective functions of the law enforcement agencies of the Soviet era, when bringing them to the police was an emergency. At present, life itself sets the task of strengthening the social, preventive function, when police officers can actually regulate pedagogical work through legal channels. But new realities give rise to new socio-pedagogical problems associated with the expectations of teachers and adolescents in relation to the police. The results of this study will allow employees of the internal affairs bodies to adjust preventive activities in the direction of strengthening its pedagogical orientation, taking into account the current ideas and the specifics of the organization of drug addiction prevention among the children and adolescents, and especially young students.
