Researching of psychological specialties students’ educational and professional motivation

Abstract
Introduction. Modern higher education raises questions on studying and the analysis of steady motivational components of that activity formed in higher education institution to which training of students is carried out. Article is devoted to research of dynamics of professional motivation to activity of the psychologist at students of intramural and extramural form of education. Research objective. To reveal influence of educational process, as instrument of increasing the motivation, on vocational training of students of psychologists to activities by the mission. Technique and research organization. 60 psychology students of the first and fifth courses of intramural and extramural form of education have taken part in research. Psychological examination was conducted with use of the battery of diagnostic techniques: the Motype test, the test "Definition of "Leading" Motive", "Scale of Satisfaction of Basic Psychological Requirements" measuring type of motivation, hierarchy of motives and satisfaction with students with basic psychological requirements to activity of the psychologist with their subsequent mathematical statistical processing. Results of research. Distinctions of indicators of such elements of the motivational sphere as motivation type, motives and needs for studied striations (first-year students and graduates) have inconsistent character. At the first-year students adaptation to the profession of the psychologist expressed more, what is said by found communication of patriotic and lumpenized types of motivation (rxу = -0.533), motive of achievement and process motive (rxу = 0.99); graduates have involvement into it (communication of patriotic type of motivation and need for competence (rxу = 0.435), motive of remuneration and need for competence (rxу = 0.486)). Communications of elements of the motivational sphere can act as criteria of pithiness of educational process which in the conducted research have high and average levels. Conclusions. On formation of ability of university graduates to satisfy need of society in the profession of the psychologist, being characterized with aiming of the motivational sphere at the profession, the type of dominating motivation, hierarchy of professional motives and the basic psychological requirements having the features at the beginning and the end of their training under the crucial role of the educational process have all posed impact.
