Abstract
The article is devoted to the personal safety of law enforcement officers when handling firearms. The article discusses the most frequently made mistakes in the handling of firearms, which can lead to injuries and deaths of law enforcement officers. Based on the analysis of the policeman’s practical activities related to the use of service firearms or the possibility of using them, exercises are proposed that allow you to practice weapons actions aimed at reinforcing safe handling skills. The proposed exercises can be performed in the framework of the disciplines “Fire training” and “Fundamentals of personal security of law enforcement officers”.
