Abstract
The decline in the level of health of students in the last 10-20 years has become stable and progressive. Along with this, there is a growing demand for athletic gymnastics classes, for female students. As practice shows, the inclusion of exercises with weights, training devices, alternating them with aerobic exercises, attracts female students, which is primarily due to the availability of exercises, the emotionality of classes, as well as a wide variety of tools and methods of implementation. The article uses the method of the analysis of scientific-methodical and special literature on the problem of research and the method of observation. The principles of priority when performing exercises in the framework of training sessions in athletic gymnastics are formulated.
Keywords: athletic gymnastics, physical education, female students.
