Studying the motives for playing sports and martial arts among the students during elective courses in physical education

Abstract
The purpose of the study is to study the interests and motivation of students who choose to study in electronic courses of sports and martial arts. Methodology and organization of the research - a survey of 40 of the 3rd year students of the Kazan National Research Technological University was conducted. The results of the study and their discussion – as a result of a questionnaire survey, we revealed that the respondents' answers indicate that they are sufficiently motivated to engage in a chosen type of elective course and chose it because it is very useful for health and body, 60–70% think so as being interviewed. Conclusions - the results of the study determined the focus of the classes. Features of the manifestation of students' motivation to engage in physical education elective courses are the basis of various ways of encouraging, controlling and organizing classes, the novelty of exercises, dynamism and emotionality.
