Abstract
The goal is to identify the effectiveness of the pilot program in the direction of step aerobics among middle-aged women aged 40-50 years old. To address this goal, the study identified the following tasks: 1. Analysis of the scientific – methodical literature covering the presented topic. 2. To develop the program for the sports activities for step aerobics among the middle-aged women, taking into account the individual's age characteristics and level of physical development of the students. 3. To introduce in the training process of the experimental program of step-aerobics among middle-aged women and to identify its effectiveness. The results of the study showed that at the stage of ascertaining experiment there were not significant differences among the groups. At the end of the experiment there were the changes in results for the functional test: the reduction of recovery time in experimental group by average of 1.1 second, when the KG-2 (the strip) 0.6, KG-1 (Pilates) by 0.95. Indicators of coordination abilities has improved by 6.3 sec KG-1, KG-2 – 7.4 h, EG – 9 sec. Exploring the indicators, determining the strength of the abdominal muscles, the experimental group results of the middle-aged women in step aerobics has increased by 7 times, which amounted to 69,2% of the growth data. In terms of proportionality of the body after the experiment there was a reduction in thighs 8.3±1,20; reducing the waist by 5.1±1,22; breast reduction 1.8±of 0.38. In conclusion, examining the results of the formative experiment, we showed dynamics of indicators of the experimental group of middle-aged women 40-50 years, involved in the program of step aerobics that allowed confirming the hypothesis of our study about the effectiveness of the training step aerobics for health and level of development of physical fitness of middle-aged women.
