Annotation
The analysis of the St. Petersburg fighters’ results in Russian championship 2015 in Greco-Roman wrestling has been undertaken in the article. The author revealed the steady trend to increase the athletic performance observed among the St. Petersburg fighters within the recent years, which was clearly demonstrated in the analyzed championship with three gold and one bronze medals. However, the calculation made for the informative sports-technical indicators of the fighters participated most successfully allowed us to determine that the individual values of these parameters depend not only on the sports results, but also on the structure of skills of the athletes. Thus, the good result is achieved either through the implementation of the individual structure of the competitive activity during the fights, or by increased activity, or by means of the reliable protection, or as a result of the high efficiency of the technical and tactical actions. All this underlines the paramount importance of the principle of individualization and need in its implementation in the training process of top class fighters.
