Characteristic of physical development, functional condition and morbidity of the reserve officers directed on sanatorium treatment

Annotation
Adverse conditions of professional activity, numerous risk factors and extreme character of military service lead to decrease in duration and quality of life of officers, causing high level of psychosomatic pathology. According to the Head military-medical department of Armed forces of Russia, every fifth officer and ensign left the Armed forces, is a disabled person or becomes it within 3-5 years after the service termination. 92% of reserve officers need regular hospital or sanatorium treatment. Average life expectancy of the officers, who have served for 25-30 years in Armed forces, makes about 62 years. The article reveals the characteristic of physical development, functional condition and morbidity of reserve officers of the various age groups directed on sanatorium treatment; the comparative analysis of dynamics of indicators of the functional condition and morbidity of reserve officers and the general category of the male population of Russia, being approximately in one age category (on the example of St. Petersburg) has been carried out.
