Abstract
The article presents part of the results of the study of psychological and pedagogical work of coaches with the corporality of athletes in the training process. 294 athletes and 85 coaches took part in the survey. Question asked to respondents: how does the coach usually explain familiar exercises in training? Respondents were given five options for closed responses. The purpose of the study: to identify the specifics of the use of verbal and non-verbal methods of explaining exercises by coaches. Significant differences were found (p<0.05) in sports, gender of the coach (female coaches are more likely to explain "only with words"; male coaches are more likely to explain using "gestures, display"), age of the coach (with increasing age, explanations "only with words" decrease, and "gestures, display" increases).
