Abstract
The overall strength of volleyball players is characterized by the complex development of muscle group strength. It is acquired through a variety of physical exercises in the process of general physical training and is the foundation for special strength training. The right selection of exercises should ensure the proportional development of all muscles or muscle groups. The specifics of competitive activity imposes high requirements for the development of the strength of volleyball players, as most of the techniques in volleyball by the form of movements and the nature of the actions belong to the group of speed-strength exercises. On this basis, the education of strength taking into account the motor specifics of the athlete is one of the significant stages of volleyball training. Therefore, in practice, there has long been a tendency to allocate a special direction in training, the task of which is to educate strength training.
