Abstract
The article presents the structure and content of the methodology of development of special endurance of qualified runners on 400 m hurdles based on the use of running loads of different directions. The developed methodology combines the traditional approach and block system for building up one-year training cycle. The general training stage corresponds to block A (basic training aimed at the development of general endurance), special-preparatory stage – block B (preferential development of special endurance), competitive stage – block C (competitive training aimed at the maximum development of special endurance). At various stages of year-round training, the complex development of physical qualities of hurdlers is carried out with the dominant impact on the development of special endurance through the use of the certain ratio of running loads of different directions.
