Abstract
The article considers one of the conditions that ensure the efficient training of 9-10-year-old hockey players at the initial stage of training. This condition is a game between mismatching teams. The researchers conducted the study by systematization of the experience of those who trained 9-10-year-old hockey players. They analyzed literature sources, polled coaches as respondents and processed the survey results with a math-and-stats method. This helped determine and develop the approach to how to prepare players for games between mismatching teams. The findings are consistent with the study's stated objective. Results of the research can be applied by coaches, instructors, teachers and scientists in young hockey players practical training.
Keywords: trainers' questionnaire, minor hockey, stage of initial training, young hockey players, unmatched teams.
