Introduction. Modern living conditions place high demands on the health of the nation. The lack of interest in systematic sports leads to its weakening. The purpose of the study is to identify problems and ways to increase the interest of the population in sports from the point of view of managerial theories. Methods: analysis of literature on the problem of research, logic-intuitive methods, method of system analysis. The results were provisions on the problem of research, characterizing the change in human behavior in the process of carrying out sports activities and sports management in the field as a whole. Conclusions. The management of a person's behavior should be aimed at realizing the value of health and a healthy lifestyle. The implementation of behavioral models is possible only in the appropriate conditions, the creation of which is determined by the main provisions of the state sports policy.
