Abstract
This article deals with the problem of forming a value attitude of an individual to physical culture. Its insufficiently researched aspects are highlighted and described. The article substantiates the idea of the need to overcome a highly specialized approach to the consideration of the phenomenon of physical culture and the transition to the integration of natural science and humanities. The authors focus on methodological principles (the value orientation of the pedagogical process, the semantic orientation of the individual to physical culture, the transition of potential capabilities of the individual to actual ones), which provide the possibility of forming a value attitude to physical culture of students, based on the deeper level of understanding of the practical use of the knowledge obtained.
Keywords: student's personality, physical culture, value attitude, formation of value attitude.
