Abstract
Data on influence of different types of sports and sports activity on morphofunctional and psychophysiological indicators of the organism of boys of 6-7 years old are provided in the study. The effects of additional organized motor activity on physiological and socio-psychological adaptation to the educational process have been determined. The obtained data demonstrate that the boys who are engaged in sports and sports activity – swimming, karate, artistic gymnastics have higher level of the studied indicators of physical development, functionality, physical fitness, psychophysiological characteristics and the social and psychological status, than at their peers without additional organized physical activity. Thus, swimming, karate or artistic gymnastics classes will promote faster adaptation to primary school. The rate of adaptation processes of socio-psychological or physiological adaptation will depend on a specific type of motor activity.
