The article is devoted to the current topic - the study of the professional preferences of the students involved in martial arts. It is shown that the majority of martial arts students after graduating from a higher educational institution have desire to work in the profession related to the military service. They also have high correspondence of interests in various fields of the professional activity and abilities available for the implementation of these interests. This area of research is of practical importance in the field of professional orientation of athletes.
