Methods of teaching chess for preschool children

Annotation
This article defines the main tasks for the young chess players at the senior preschool age. The selection of topics for chess lessons for children of this age group was carried out. A method of teaching children aged 5-6 to play chess has been developed. The method was based on the developed practical recommendations and sets of exercises taught in a non-standard game form. The difficulties that children of 5-6 years old may face in chess lessons are revealed. Young athletes were prepared for a chess tournament for preschoolers. The main mistakes that children of this age group make in the course of competitive activity are identified and recommendations for their elimination are given. The analysis of the conducted testing allowed us to determine the effectiveness of the developed method.
