Abstract
The relevance of the work is determined with the differences in the health status of the youth from the urban and rural areas. The goal is comparative assessment of the morphological and functional indicators of the student health. Assessment of physical health was carried out with the somatometric methods, and the functional state of the cardiovascular system was studied by the indicators of heart rate and blood pressure. The results of the study showed the morphological and functional differences between the students from the rural areas as opposed to urban ones, and among hemodynamic disorders in rural youth, heart rhythm disturbances and blood pressure levels are more often recorded. The revealed patterns are supposed to be taken into account in the organizational and methodological support of the practical exercises in physical education.
Keywords: health, morphofunctional parameters, countryside, students.
