Annotation
This article describes the features of the definition of the profession as a global problem of youth. The theoretical analysis of the works of foreign and domestic scientists on this topic is carried out. The article reveals the socio-psychological conditions affecting professional self-determination in adolescence, as a result of self-realization and self-actualization of the individual. The article reveals the basis of professional self-determination as a meaningful choice of the profession taking into account the personal opportunities, requirements of the professional activity and socio-economic conditions. The process of the self-determination is considered as the main content of personal development in youth, and the formation of professional orientation forms the main content of self-determination.
