This article is devoted to the study of the problem of the runners’ restoration of efficiency in middle distances. The influence of restorative activity on the working capacity, physical activity and sports achievements of athletes is considered. The study found that in order to improve the effectiveness of sports training, a systematic combination of physical activity and the recovery process is necessary, as confrontation and resistance to physical activity depends on the recovery activity. Experimental work confirmed the effectiveness of the combination of physical activity and recovery, adaptation of athletes to physical loads.
