Features of use of technical and tactical techniques by orienteering athletes of the Omsk region

Annotation
The article presents the results of the questionnaire and survey of the orienteering athletes of Omsk and Omsk region (N=85) of various sports qualifications and experience. Orienteering is a very difficult sport, both physically and technically. The purpose of the study is to define the features of the use of technical and tactical techniques employed by orienteers of the Omsk region. The brief analysis of activities in orienteering, orienteering features in the Omsk region have all been given. The main technical and tactical techniques, used by Omsk athletes are: reading the map "forward", taking the accurate azimuth, steps calculation and combined choice of path.
