Annotation
The aim of the research is to identify the informative content of control exercises that characterize the level of 10-–12 years old young athletes-boys' physical preparedness, engaged in karate Kyokushinkai. Research objectives: 1. Pick up tests for assessment of the level of 10-12 years old athletes-boys' physical preparedness on the basis of the trainers' questioning, the analysis of program and normative documents and scientific and methodical literature. 2. Determine the relationship of the selected test tasks with the level of the technical preparedness of 10-12 years old athletes. The total indicator was used as a criterion of informativeness. It reflected in points the technique of six groups of technical actions performance, and also efficiency of their implementation during the competitive fights. In the course of the statistical processing of the test materials there were selected in 10 years – 58, 11 years – 62, 12 years – 59 informative control exercises. In accordance with the generally accepted methodology, all control exercises are differentiated into three groups: highly informative (P <0.01); average informative (P <0.05); uninformative (P>0.05).
